xx Ricoh XR Rikenon 135mm lens for Mamiya ZE?
« Thread started on: Sep 20th, 2017, 6:35pm »

There's a ZE for sale on that famous internet auction site at the moment. What caught my eye is that one of the lenses with it is a Ricoh XR Rikenon 135mm f/2.8. Which is weird and interesting since, as far as I can find out, the mount should be a Pentax K.

Do any members know anything about this lens?

Did Ricoh make lenses with the Mamiya Sekor E mount (like the Osawa and Revue badged lenses)?

Or is it possible to fit Pentax K mount lenses on the ZE?

You're right about the lens being only Pentax K mount. There is not enough space for an adapter to the ZE mount, so I suspect that the bayonets are close enough that the lens could be persuaded on to the camera, as the description says, for "use as collection and decoration."

I just tried it. Oddly enough, when I mounted a lens from the "wrong" direction (like Nikon), I was able to get it to focus well and not cause any damage. However, I didn't try opening the shutter because the aperture linkage is in the wrong place and would obviously harm the mirror.

Thanks leonAzul. So - possible to get the lens to fit but probably a bad idea to do so!
