Welcome to Ron Herron's
"Collecting Mamiya 35mm Cameras" Forum!

This is a continuation of the original Forum that began on January 15, 2001

This Forum was created to allow discussions related to the collection, use, repair and service of vintage Mamiya 35mm Cameras. It is also a place to show and discuss the images we create with them!

Please join us, and share in this great hobby!  Guests are always welcome to visit and view all discussions. However, in order to post a comment or picture you need to register as a Forum Member (it's free). Once registered, you will be able to post a response to any topic, or start a new thread (you will find links to start a new thread in each topic area).

Please feel free to post your pictures taken with 35mm Mamiya equipment, but please make them no more than 700 pixels wide, so no one has to scroll to see them. Also, use 72 dpi jpeg or gif images, so our friends with dial-up connections don't need to go out for coffee as they wait for things to load! Thanks!

I've owned the ZM for about 14 years, and it's been around a bit, but never let me down. The ZE is a more recent aquisition, I bought some Z series lenses from Alpine Cameras in Des Moines, and the camera came more or less as a bonus. It needed a bit of TLC, but it's a nice little machine, like a point 'n shoot with a decent viewfinder!
I don't really have a wish list for Z cameras, a set of extension rings would be nice, but they go for more money than I want to pay for just a fancy!

Thanks for the encouragement Bob!

I've been meaning to take a bit more interest in this site for a while now, and I've bought a couple of Mamiya rangefinders recently, and needed to refer to Ron's excellent info pages, and that sparked a look at the SLR pages as well. Then I got out all my old Z bits, some of which haven't seen the light of day for a while, let alone a roll of film, and thought I should start using them again.
Thank God I'm retired! I can't imagine how I found the time to do a job as well!!

Best, Mike
