« Thread started on: Aug 19th, 2009, 07:26am »

Since I have found the body and the wide angle lens for my ZE, I have been looking at some of my other 35MM stuff. grin

I found a copy of the Kodak Master Photoguide, copyright 1981, major revision 3-81-ABE. This little guide has 38 pages and has all of the circular slide rule dial type devices to to calculate f-stops, shutter speeds, flash exposure, depth of field and lens-extension exposure dials. These little books were very handy and I found I used it a lot. Just wondering if anyone else has any of these wonderful little guides laying around.

I found they were a tremendous help to me, I also found the original instructions and black cardboard envelope for them in my "stuff". Now, I have to find my expanded ZE manual, I know I have it somewhere.

I clicked on the link too.

It's pdf file, so it takes a while for it to load ... but it's there. wink

Try clicking on it again, and just leave the screen blank for a while until it loads. Are you using a dial-up connection? That could add to the time.

It works just fine, it is a 1,5MB pdf file.

Try this version of the manual:http://www.butkus.org/chinon/mamiya/mamiya_ze-2/mamiya_ze-2.htm

You can also select the .pdf document here (and select the option "save as" from the link menu. It should ask you where you wish to save the 1,5Mb file on your local hard drive).

Jasper

ps, this is the index of the manual site: http://www.butkus.org/chinon/mamiya.htm

oh yes the ze manual file is there
somehow our wires got crossed.
I expected a master photoguide
I have "cable internet" so it works fairly fast.
since I do not have a ZE , I hesitate to just grap a file I will not use.
great camera as many of the unique Mamiya slr's
but I have not figured out why they did not use a ordinary lens mount
except when they used the m42.
I think it hurt sales,.
there is a UK site for one of these models.
great camera , but no way to get more lenses

There is, however, an adapter (called a P-adapter) that will let you use m42 lenses. wink
